Maramed Orthopedic Systems was established in 1972 by a world-renowned orthotist and orthopedic surgeon. Their goal was to market custom-fit prefabricated orthoses and fracture braces, a new modality of treatment they helped develop with the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Miami.
